Comments in EasyDNNnews

EasyDNNnews comes with its own system of commenting articles. Additionally, Facebook comments and popular Disqus comments can also be used.

EasyDNNnews's system of commenting allows the visitors of your web pages to comment on articles. In the settings of EasyDNNnews module it can be determined who is allowed to comment on an article. Commenting rights can be set according to your needs. Thus, commenting can be allowed for unregistered users, exclusively for registered users, or for users that are in DNN roles that are enabled to post.

According to your needs, commenting can be turned off for particular articles, yet allowed for others. Among other options, we wish to point out the possibility of approving comments before they become public, using CAPTCHA in order to prevent spam comments, integration with Gravatar, an option to rate comments and two separate modes of comment display. Comments can be displayed in a classic way, that is chronologically, one below the other. Another option is the threaded view style, where it is visible who has replied to whom.

If you switch off the option Enable comments, and there are some comments already present there, in section "11. Comments" several additional setup options will appear.

Show already posted comments

If this option is switched on, the already posted comments will continue to be displayed even after commenting has ended.
