Localization of custom fields

The EasyDNNnews module supports content localization. In other words, it is possible to add a translation of posts in different languages, and to site visitors an article will be displayed on a language depending on the selected page language.

Localization of values in custom fields

The same way as it is possible to add translation for standard articles which don't contain custom fields, it is possible to add a translation for values which you add to custom fields.

The translation of articles in the EasyDNNnews module is entered in the Add-Edit Article Form. At the top of the form there is the Content localization button. Clicking on the button, you open a screen where you can enter a translation for languages which are available on the DNN portal.

In this screen you can enter translations for custom fields as well.

Localization of labels and tooltips

Besides localization of custom fields values, it is possible to localize the static parts of custom fields that will be visible to authors who publish posts or for the site visitors themselves. These are labels, descriptions and elements.

After creating the custom fields in EasyDNNnews > Dashboard > Add Custom Fields, you will notice the Localize button in the interface. Clicking the Localize button, you can enter translations.

Notice: The article localization and custom fields is possible if there is one more language on the DNN portal besides the default language. Languages in DNN are managed in the DNN menu Admin > Advanced settings > Languages.
