Accelerated mobile pages (AMP)
AMP or Accelerated Mobile Pages are HTML web pages designed to load near instantaneously on mobile devices. They are used by Google and other search engines. To learn more about AMP visit https://www.ampproject.org.
Using the EasyDNNnews module, you can create AMP pages for news articles. To enable creating AMP page go to EasyDNNnews module setting and open section 20. Canonical URLs and Google AMP articles.
First, you need to turn on the option Enable Canonical URLs. After that, turn on the option Create AMP articles. Select AMP article template and Save settings.
When you view the article as an unauthenticated user, an HTML file will be created for that article.
The file will be saved in the root of the website in the folder /AMP_EDN/ModuleId/. Also, in the DNN page, a link tag will be inserted containing a link to AMP article so the search engines can find it. That link can also be opened in the browser. Example:
<link rel="amphtml" href="http://mywebsite.net/AMP_EDN/414/Test-article.amp.html" />
When you update an article, a scheduler will also update AMP version of the article.
Templates for creating AMP article pages are located in every EasyDNNnews theme folder in AMP subfolder. So the path for Ozone theme AMP article template is: \DesktopModules\EasyDNNnews\Templates\_default\Ozone\AMP\. You can edit them or add your own. To edit AMP template go to EasyDNNnews module open Dashboard and then open Templates editor. You can find AMP templates at https://www.ampstart.com.
