EasyDNNgallery and Facebook integration
This feature enables to connect EasyDNNgallery with Facebook. This integration allows you to automatically display photos from Facebook in EasyDNNgallery. You can display photos from Facebook pages.
You can set up the integration only if your website is running on https protocol.
How to create a Facebook application
Register as a developer on https://developers.facebook.com. Log in to your Facebook developer account and go to https://developers.facebook.com/apps.
Click on “Add a New App”. A pop-up dialog will appear. In the pop-up dialog enter your application name and email and click “Create App ID”.
After creating the application, open it, and go to the menu “Settings” and “Basic”.
Click on “Add platform” and select “Website”.
Under the “Website” tab in the “Site URL” enter your domain and click “Save changes”.
Now fill in the fields “App Domains”, “Privacy Policy URL” and select a category. Click on “Save changes”.
On the left menu under “Products” click on “Add product”.
Click on "Set Up on Facebook login". Select “Web”.
Fill in the “Site URL” field and click “Save”.
Now on the left menu under “Facebook Login” click “Settings”.
In the field Valid OAuth redirect URIs, you need to enter a callback URL. A callback URL is formed: your domain + “DesktopModules/EasyDNNgallery/SettingsControl/FacebookCallBack.aspx”. So in this example the callback URL is https://www.easydnnnews.com/DesktopModules/EasyDNNgallery/SettingsControl/FacebookCallBack.aspx. Enter it and click Save changes.
On the top of the screen is application status. Leave it “In Development”.
How to connect EasyDNNgallery and Facebook application
Log in to your Facebook developer account and go to https://developers.facebook.com/apps. Select the app you have previously created and go to “Dashboard”. Copy “App ID” and “App Secret”.
Open the website with the EasyDNNgallery module. Go to the Dashboard>API settings and enter your Facebook App ID and Facebook App Secret. Click on “Save Facebook App”.
Now go to “Gallery settings” control and select “Social stream media gallery” display.
Follow the 3 steps. Click on “Connect to Facebook account” and allow the Facebook application to access your profile. After that, click on “Get Facebook account info”.
After that, you can select a Facebook page to display and set the rest of display settings.
