General settings

Adjusting a map

In the General settings it is possible to adjust all the options related to displaying a map. The characteristics of a map like map type, the starting position and zoom level, which are adjusted here, will be displayed to a user in the same way. For an easier positioning on the map, you can use Get my location button or in the Search field enter the location to which you want to position the map.

Map type

Here you can choose the default map type. The possibilities are Hybrid, Roadmap, Satellite and Terrain.

Zoom

Here you can set a starting zoom level. The same can be adjusted on the map also.

Enable scroll wheel zoom

If this option is turned on, a user can zoom a map by using a scroll wheel on her or his mouse.

All the changes have to be saved by clicking Save or Save & Close button.

Adding markers

To add a location, viz. a marker on a map, click on Add marker button.

After clicking the Add marker button, an icon is displayed on the map. The icon can be grabbed with a mouse and positioned were you want to.

For the easiest positioning on the map, you can use Get my location button or in Search field enter the location to which you want to position the map.

Title

In this field you enter a title of a marker that you are adding.

Description

In this field you enter a description of a marker. This field is optional.

Center on map If you click on this button, a marker will be set in the center of a displayed map.

Icon

Click on the symbol of an icon, which will open a window where you can choose between a large number of built-in icons. The color of the button marks the color of an icon.

Marker editing

Markers which you have added to a map can be edited or deleted if necessary.

Edit

It opens the interface for adding or editing markers.

Center map

If you click on this button, the map will be centered in such a way that marker is exactly in the middle.

Deleting markers

If you want to delete a marker, it is necessary to click in the checkbox in front of the marker and click on Delete.

View settings

Width

Here you set a map width in percentage (%) or in pixels (px).

Height

Here you set a map height in percentage (%) or in pixels (px).

Height reference

Here you choose a reference for height. It can be the map or container.

Show marker list

If this option is turned on, then below a map is a list of all the markers that are added to a map.

Show „Marker in radius“ slider

If this option is chosen, then the markers inside set radius are displayed.

There are some additional options if this option is turned on:

“Marker in radius” default radius units

Here you can choose a display of a radius in miles or kilometers.

Maximal “Marker in radius” radius

Here you set a maximum value of a radius that a user can choose.

Default “Marker in radius” radius

Here you set a starting radius inside of which all the markers are displayed.

Initial filter state

Disabled – If this option is chosen, the option for filtrating markers by distance isn't by the default turned on. A user can turn on filtrating by distance.
Enabled – If this option is chosen, the option for filtrating markers by distance is turned on for a user. A user has the possibility to turn this option off.
Always enabled (can't be disabled by users) – the option for filtrating markers by distance is turned on for a user. A user doesn’t have the possibility for turning this option off.

Show “My location” button

If this option is turned on, then “My location button” is displayed to a user. Clicking on “My location” a user will be positioned on a map according to her or his location.

Show places search If this option is turned on, then the Search field is displayed to a user where she or he can enter a wanted location. Center map on user when initializing the map If this option is turned on, then during the initialization a map is automatically positioned to a detected location where a user is located.
