How to moderate comments

After your Facebook application has been setup and once you have connected it to the EasyDNNsimpleForum module you can moderate all added comments in the Facebook Moderation Tool. To be able to moderate comments your website must be online.

First, Login to your Facebook developers account and go to: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/comments and select your application as shown on the image below.

After some comments have been added you can moderate them here. They will appear listed under their respective tabs.

You can approve, moderate and hide any comment located under any of the available tabs. To do so, just select the “Approve” or the “Hide” option next to the desired comment you want to moderate.

If you wish to setup specific moderation rules, you can do so by clicking on “Settings” tab located on the right side of the page and selecting the tab "Moderation Rules". Here you can setup various settings like maximum comment length, enable attachments, add moderators, ban users etc.

Under the “Blacklist” tab you can add words that will blacklist comments and mark them for review, like shown below.

Additionally, on the “Moderation Rules” tab, under the “Moderation” section at the far bottom, you can setup various settings on how comments will be moderated and the way they will appear on the page.

The “Public” option enables all the added comments to become visible on the forum topic page and will appear in the “Review” tab in the comments moderation tool. Comments containing blacklisted words will also be visible on the forum topic page.

The ”Review Blacklisted Comments” option will enable comments without blacklisted words to become public and visible on the forum topic page, as well as appear in the “Review” tab in the comments moderation tool. Comments containing blacklisted words will appear under Hidden and Review tabs but they will not appear on the forum topic page.

The “Closed” option will enable all the comments to become hidden. Only comments without blacklisted words will appear in the “Review” tab and all the other comments will appear on the “Hidden” tab. None of the comments will appear on the forum topic page.
