How to setup auto-posting to Twitter

This feature enables to connect EasyDNNnews with Twitter. Integration allows you to automatically post articles from EasyDNNnews on Twitter.

 

How to create a Twitter application

 

To create Twitter application visit https://apps.twitter.com.

Click on Create new app and fill in the details. Leave the Callback URL blank.

After creating the application go to permissions tab and make sure that the Read and Write option is selected.

Go to Keys and Access Tokens tab, copy and save Consumer Key (API Key) and Consumer Secret (API Secret).

 

How to connect EasyDNNnews and Twitter application

 

Open the website with the EasyDNNnews module. Go to the Dashboard>API settings and enter your Consumer key and Consumer secret. Click on Add or update the Twitter app.

Now you need to go to EasyDNNnews module settings and open section 18 Autoposting to Journal and Social networks and change it to Module instance (override default).

Under Twitter section click on Open/Close Twitter connection pane.

Next click on option 1. Connect module to the Twitter account.

After that, you will be taken to Twitter and prompted to allow posting to your account.

Click on Authorize app. Secret key will be displayed. Copy it and save it.

Return to EasyDNNnews module and enter secret key and click on Connect to Twitter.

You will see the message Connect to Twitter OK. Click on Save settings.

Now when you add or edit an article you will have the option to post it on Twitter.
