EasyDNNnews and Facebook integration
This feature enables to connect EasyDNNnews with Facebook. The integration between EasyDNN News and Facebook allows you to automatically post articles from EasyDNNnews to Facebook. You can post articles on the Facebook page.
You can set up the integration only if your website is using the https protocol.
How to create a Facebook application
Register as a developer on https://developers.facebook.com. Log in to your Facebook developer account and go to https://developers.facebook.com/apps.
Click on Add a New App. A pop-up dialog will appear. In the pop-up dialog enter your application name and email and click Create App ID.
After creating the application, open it, and go to the menu Settings and Basic.
Under the Website tab in the Site URL, enter your domain and click Save changes.
On the left menu under Products click on Add product.
Click Set Up on Facebook login. Select Web.
Fill in the Site URL field and click Save.
Now on the left menu under Facebook Login click Settings.
In the field Valid OAuth redirect URIs, you need to enter a callback URL. A callback URL is formed: your domain + “DesktopModules/EasyDNNnews/FacebookCallBack.aspx”. So in this example, the callback URL is https://www.easydnnnews.com/DesktopModules/EasyDNNnews/FacebookCallBack.aspx. Enter it and click Save changes.
On the top of the screen is application status. Leave it “In Development”.
How to connect EasyDNNnews and Facebook application
Log in to your Facebook developer account and go to https://developers.facebook.com/apps. Select the app you have previously created and go to Dashboard. Copy App ID and App Secret.
Open the website with the EasyDNNnews module. Go to the Dashboard>API settings and enter your Facebook App ID and Facebook App Secret. Click on Save Facebook App.
Now you need to go to EasyDNNnews module settings and open section 18 Autoposting to Journal and Social networks and change it to Module instance (override default).
Under Facebook section click on Open/Close Facebook connection pane.
Next click on option 1. Connect to Facebook account.
After that, you will be prompted to log in to Facebook and allow posting on your user feed or your pages. A new tab will open confirming that data from Facebook is received.
Return to the EasyDNNnews module settings tab and click on option 2. Connect to Facebook.
After that, you will be able to select where articles will be posted. On your account wall or one of the Facebook pages where you are the admin.
After that, click on Save settings.
Now when you add or edit an article you will have the option to post it on Facebook.
